Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., represented Delaware for 36 years in the U.S. Senate before becoming the 47th Vice President of the United States. In this role, Biden continued his leadership on important issues facing the nation and represented our country abroad. Vice President Biden convened sessions of the President’s Cabinet, led interagency efforts, provided unyielding support for our troops, a fairer judicial system, and a smarter foreign policy.  He worked with Congress in his fight for a stronger middle class, address violence against women, and end cancer as we know it. With his charm, candor, unabashed optimism and deep and abiding patriotism, Biden has garnered the respect and esteem of colleagues of both parties and the friendship of people around the world.  Last year, he established the National Cancer Moonshot.
